“Miss Choi?!” Her teacher yelled. “Neh prof?” she answered looking like she didn't want to be in class. “Could you please tell me why you're not paying attention to my class?” he asked. Mi Ja shrugged. “I dunno prof. Maybe cos you're too boring?” *Oh no! Not again. She's going overboard now!* her friend JaeRi thought. Last time she was back talking to a teacher, she had to have detention for a whole week. Two hours after school. *What I don't understand is why Mi Ja is acting.* JaeRi wondered. While JaeRi had been 'so into her thoughts' Mi Ja had been sent out of the room.
As soon as she had exited, she ran down the hallway, out the gym's doors and to the field. It was massive and you can't really notice if someone was out there or not. Because they'd look like a little ant, however she went deeper, and farther away from the school. To a place only known to her, her boyfriend – Changmin – and the caretaker. Mi Ja lay down on the soft, newly cut grass. She didn't care about the worms and whatnot. A chuckle was heard from above her head. Well, from her position, it felt as if he or she was above her head. Sitting up, she turned around and grinned.
“Oppa!” She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a kiss on the cheek. All the while, he was smiling, happily and wrapped his arms around her waist. She leaned back a bit and warmly smiled up at him. “What?” He asked. A fly then flied past him, and landed on his shoulder, causing Mi Ja to scream and let go of Changmin. “Get that off you now!” she squealed as the fly went off him, onto her. “HELP!” she screamed. Changmin chuckled and took it off her shoulder and let it free. He smiled at Mi Ja, who was calming herself down from the panic.
His seriousness turned on though, “Mi Ja, how come you're always getting into trouble huh?” he asked, concerned. “Oppa, I don't really care to be honest. They're all used to it. No point changing that.” Changmin shook his head, “Mi Ja, its important. If you wanna get a good job, you have to work hard in school.” Mi Ja just stubbornly shook her head. “No thanks...I've got to go to room 711. Thats where detention is held today. I'll see ya round.” Mi Ja made a move to leave, but just as she was about to, Changmin grabbed her arm, and gave her a deep, passionate kiss. Satisfied, he smiled at her, “now you can go.” Mi Ja nodded then walked back to the school's direction, looking a 'bit' drunk. Changmin just chuckled, and headed for school using the opposite direction.
“Mi Ja? Again?! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS END UP HERE?” asked the teacher that supervised the detention students. Truthfully, he was nice. But the principle was outside and...basically he was acting. When the principle eventually left, Mr Hwang sighed and said, “Mi Ja, why do you always end up here?” again, but softer. “Because sir, I...I dunno. I guess its just the way I am.” Mi Ja shrugged. Mr Hwang pinched the bridge of his nose, took off his glasses then put it back on. “What are we to do with you?” he asked, himself. Mi Ja overheard, shrugged and walked over to her USUAL table, it even had her name graffiti'd on it.
▬▬▬▬▬
The bell for lunch rang. All the detention students had left earlier, but Mi Ja was a 'special' student that had to stay during the four lessons, until lunch. But, what the teachers don't know, is that by doing that, she is having free time instead of learning.
“Annyong-gaseyo Sir Hwang!” Mi Ja bowed and left the room, slinging her shoulder strap onto her shoulder and headed to the cafeteria. There, she spotted her friend, JaeRi on their usual seat. Next thing she knew, she had stumbled. One of Changmin's friends stuck out his foot, causing her to trip over. JaeJoong high fived Junsu and they laughed. Mi Ja just glared at Changmin for not standing up for her. She left with a huff, glared some more at 'DBSK' and walked over to JaeRi.
“Mi Ja-ah, they're going overboard now. I mean, shouldn't Changmin-shii be able to defend his own, -” her voice quietened, “girlfriend?” she asked. Mi Ja just shook her head, “ignore me and enjoy your lunch. Lets just ignore it, and hope it won't happen again...”
...too bad it DID...
▬▬▬▬▬
Mi Ja was on her way home one day, when some girls started to corner her.
“Why do you hate DBSK?” “Are you crazy or something?” another girl asked. “Hmm...something tells me that she's just looking for attention, and why not stand out by being the only girl to despise them?” One thought, thinking that was what Mi Ja's purpose was. All the while, Changmin had walked passed, head down looking as if he was laughing. Well to Mi Ja, it looked like laughing, when really...it was crying. *I'm sorry I can't defend you. You're the one that said yourself...you can take care of yourself...* he thought, getting into his car.
Mi Ja had smirked at the girls and shoved all of them down. “Why don't you guys just freaking leave me alone? Aren't you happy that I don't like him? It means one less girl you're having to fight against for one of the DBSK member's love. OKAY?!” she screamed at them. The three girls stared at her, horrified and scared. They scuttled away, and whispered among themselves while doing so.
Mi Ja looked up into the sky. *WHY DOES CHANGMIN OPPA IGNORE ME?????? WHAT HAVE I DONE TO HIM? HE'S THE ONE THAT ASKED ME OUT. Yet...I'm the one that wants it a secret. Was I stupid to have done so?* she thought, really annoyed. She screamed and kneeled down onto the floor. It started to rain. “Just my luck...” she said as the rain soaked her school cardigan. She sniffled and attempted to stand up. Luckily she had managed to eventually and was walking to her home's direction.
When she had arrived, her mom was scolding her for making the floor wet. But when Mi Ja started to cough, her mom started to worry about her. “Mi Ja, go to your room. I'll bring some soup. Change first kay?” her caring voice soothed Mi Ja's pain. She nodded and went up the stairs, dragging her feet. Her parents and JaeRi knew about Mi Ja and Changmin's relationship. That was how much she trusted them, but Changmin...he didn't tell a soul.
Mi Ja slumped her shoulders and leaned against the headboard of her bed. Sighing, she grabbed the remote on her bedside table and switched her TV on. A boring kid's show was on, but she was too lazy to change it. Her mom knocked on the door. “Mi Ja? Soup is ready.” her mom then popped in and put the tray on her lap. “Kamshamnida.” Mi Ja said, then went into a coughing fit. “Oh my...” her mom whispered. She left the room, but came back with a glass of water and placed it on her bedside table. Mi Ja thanked her again as she left the room.
Five minutes later, the food wasn't touched. Stomach grumbling, Mi Ja eventually gave up and ate her soup. *Yum.* she thought, with NO enthusiasm yet she still enjoyed it and finished it. Sighing, she put the tray on the floor and took a sip of her water then placed it back to where it came from. She turned off the TV and leaned onto her side. *Goodnight...* she thought, and went to sleep.
When she was deep asleep, her mom came in and took the tray from the floor. She gave Mi Ja a kiss on the forehead and left, after turning off the lights. 'Night dear.' she mouthed then exited.

The following day, Mi Ja attended school. She was feeling better, thanks to her mom's soup. Humming, she entered the code for her locker. It finally opened to reveal a rose, with a tag attached to it, with a string. She quietly read it to herself:
To my love,
I am very sorry for the things I've done in the past. I've gotten revenge on Jae hyung...just wait until lunch ;). Please forgive me. If you do, come to our special place. If you don't come three minutes before the bell, then I'll understand you haven't forgiven me...
Changmin.
She sighed, *how CORNY!...but still, its cute.* she hugged the rose to herself, but accidentally pricked her finger. “Aigoo.” she sighed and sucked on it. She checked her watch. There was plenty of time before the bell was to ring. So, instead of running there like a mad woman, she wanted to tease the boy a little bit, by not coming until FIVE minutes before the bell. *Good plan!* she thought then skipped to the library.
....meanwhile...
Changmin was waiting at the secluded area of the school with a bouquet of flowers. Every second, he checked his phone for the time. Twenty minutes. Fifteen...fourteen...ten...eight...six....still no sign of his love. *But I put three minutes...she might come EXACTLY at that time...so I'll wait.*
In the library, there was no sign of Mi Ja, in fact she was running around the campus to the 'area' where they were supposed to meet. *Four minutes left before school starts!* her head screamed. She cursed herself mentally and urged herself to keep running.
As if on cue, exactly three minutes before the ring of the bell, Mi Ja turned up, puffy-faced and out of breath. Changmin stood there smiling at her, happy to know that she actually came.
“So...you forgive me?” he asked. Mi Ja nodded. She stuck her hand out, and did a 'v' sign, “two minutes...lemme...catch my breath...” “But then the bell rings.” Changmin mentioned. Almost immediately, Mi Ja ran over and gave him a hug. *I could live with this...* he thought, cuddling her back while closing his eyes.
The bell rang, breaking them from their trance. Changmin gave her a sweet, passionate but short kiss, and leaned back to see her eyes still closed. “Ja-ah? Kaja, we have school remember?” he asked. She pouted but nodded. “Arraso...”
They headed back to school, but when they were three feet away from the school grounds itself, they let go of each other's grasps. Sighing, Mi Ja walked over to her homeroom, which was also the room of her first lesson. Changmin ducked his head and headed for his direction. The two lovers separated their ways...
▬▬▬▬▬
It was lunchtime. Mi Ja and JaeRi were seated in their usual seats. Mi Ja witnessed as DBSK entered the room, thinking they were 'all that' maybe they were, but they didn't have to boast. Out of all the five, Changmin seemed to be the only one who didn't seem to boast about a lot. Changmin caught her eyes for a second, then smiled and looked away – still smiling. Mi Ja grinned and stuffed one rice cake into her mouth.
Minutes later she (and everyone in the whole canteen) heard a shriek. Mi Ja looked up to see JaeJoong standing up and shaking in fear. For there atop his food was nothing other than a cockroach. *Aww...serves you right for tripping me over!* she thought, grinning and laughing. Changmin saw her and smiled. Pleased that she found it amusing...he too did. So did the other guys...and everyone else in the canteen.
When everything settled down, JaeJoong asked his fellow comrades, “who did this?”. Changmin, being brave, said, “I did.” all the others looked at him shocked. He had never done something like that before. If only they knew why, but then again, if they did, they didn't have to treat his girlfriend like trash. *I wanna tell them, but how do I?* he wondered. “YAH! Changmin-ah why so cruel to your hyung?” JaeJoong whined. Changmin shook his head, sighed and said, “mian...I was bored kay? It was boring in gym, so I excused myself and went into the changing rooms. Then, I saw your bag...and mysteriously, a rubber cockroach was in my bag, so I thought 'why not put that in?'...so I did...and I'M VERY SORRY!” Changmin quickly apologized before his hyung could do anything else to him. Surprisingly JaeJoong wasn't doing anything to him. Sighing in relief, Changmin sat down and dug into his food.

Mi Ja had witnessed the whole thing and while in her English class was laughing to herself. The teacher was glaring at her, and surprisingly she shut up. Usually she would roll her eyes, but this time she was smiling innocently to Miss Kim. Everyone was shocked of her actions and stared at her for at least a minute. Mi Ja smiled to herself, happy that she had managed to not laugh out loud and annoy the teacher even more.
She started to pay attention and the whole lesson went by, without her being told off by the teacher. Not a SINGLE time. Which was a shocker, since this girl here is a real trouble maker. Everyone in the whole class was surprised to see her raising her hands instead of shouting the answers out, disrupting some of the other student's learning. JaeRi smiled, happy her best friend was finally changing.
▬▬▬▬▬
It was after school. The usual girls that usually bullied her, just ignored her. Didn't pay attention and went over to DBSK and spazzed and flirted with the boys who showed off. All Changmin did was yawn, look her way and winked. Walking away with a giggle, the oblvious girl and boy didn't notice that one of the girls was watching them closely, and didn't like the result at all.
The girl – KyoRei – walked over to Changmin and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Changmin tensed up as she whispered something in his ear. He glanced at Mi Ja with panicy eyes which told her 'I swear, I have no clue why she's hugging me'. Luckily, she shrugged at him and walked away to her home. KyoRei then whispered again, “Changminnie oppa, I know your little secret. Who knew you had a girlfriend?” She asked. Changmin's eyes widened. “Why are you doing this?” He asked, completely enraged.
He knew what the girl was going to do now...Blackmail him. But, he didn't want his precious girlfriend to get hurt so he just turned to her with a menacing glare. He composed himself and said, “guys, I'll get going. KyoRei, can you come with me?” He asked, smiling, with gritted teeth that if pressed against each other any harder, all his teeth would crack. KyoRei nodded and followed him to the car. *This is suspicous...* Yunho thought, he knew about the secret relationship, since he'd seen them kissing, but kept it to himself. “Woo! Atta boy!” JaeJoong smirked and put an arm around one to KyoRei's friends, who blushed and stuttered.
▬▬▬▬▬
It was Friday already. The week passed by so fast, and Mi Ja was changing her attitude and was actually MISSED in the detention room. Everyone loved having her there with them. She helped 'lighten up' the boring and monotone mood.
Everyone noticed her new mood, and didn't question it. She still had a very large temper and you can't control her. You'd have to lock her in a room until she calms down. When you step in, you see tables wrecked and some glass smashed. There was nothing, except Changmin – but they didn't know that! - that people could do to stop her.
The teacher was teaching away and turned her back for the very first time since the lesson began, then she heard some giggling. *Oh no! Mi Ja is back to her old ways...* However, the giggling turned out to cause the whole class to uproar. Miss Kang turned around and glared at her students. “Why are you all laughing?” she asked. “'cos you've got tissue on your skirt!...hahahahahahhahahaha!!” Said the girl up front. Miss Kang immediately blushed and turned her head, indeed seeing the tissue paper. She tugged it out and resumed her teaching. All Mi Ja did was shake her head. *Immature imbeciles!* she shouted at them in her mind.
▬▬▬▬▬
The day passed by quickly. Whenever Changmin and Mi Ja passed each other, their hands 'accidentally' touched. KyoRei raised her eyebrows at this. She knew that it certainly WASN'T an accident. And intended to prove it.
So, at lunch time, she went over to Changmin and whispered to his ear. To Mi Ja, it looked like something that made her very jealous. However, actually it was, “Yah! If you want the girl you love, follow me.” Changmin's face became pale, and he followed her. Mi Ja, curious of what was happening, followed them.
They were headed for the secret place, Changmin thought was HIS secret place. But not anymore since the KyoRei knew the way, in fact...she was leading the way! Having no other choice, Changmin had to follow. Meanwhile, KyoRei saw a shadow following them. *Perfect!* she smirked, she saw those shoes earlier worn by Mi Ja. She was obviously following them.
KyoRei then stopped stood exactly at the spot where Mi Ja and Changmin had their first kiss together. But she didn't know that! KyoRei seeing Mi Ja in the distance, quickly thought of a plan. She whispered in Changmin's ear. “Give me a kiss, and I won't say a word.” She said, smiling 'innocently'. Changmin's knees wobbled a bit. He wanted to shake his head, but sighed. He gave her a questioning look, and she nodded. Expectant. He leaned in slowly, but KyoRei was too impatient and leaned in herself, closing the distance between them and gave him a smooch.
Mi Ja however, saw the whole thing. She leaned onto the tree beside her, tears streaming down her face. The oblivious pair – for Changmin anyway – broke away and the first thing that happened, was Mi Ja ran away. She...she just ran! Changmin saw her before she left. He glared at KyoRei. “YOU SET ME UP!” he shouted at her. She shrugged, flipped her hair with her newly painted nails and walked away. *Omo! Ottoke?...Molla!!! (Oh no! What do I do?....I don't now!!!)* Changmin shouted. *Pabo-yah!* he screamed out loud, “I'm such a pabo, idiot, baka!!!!” He remembered Mi Ja and ran, trying to think of where she may be...
▬▬▬▬▬
Changmin was now in class, the one they had together. She wasn't there. When he secretly asked JaeRi, she said that Mi Ja went home saying that she had hay fever. There was also tears in her eyes. Changmin mentally hit himself, *I'm such a dickhead! Why did I freaking kiss that slut? Stupid!*
The day ended faster than Changmin wanted. He needed to explain before Mi Ja would break up with him for real...
...Too bad she did. By text. Went he got home, he had a text from Mi Ja, 'Mian, I don't think its working out. Lets break up. Bye!' Tears in his eyes, Changmin went into his room, there he cried for the whole day.
▬▬▬▬▬
Three months passed. Three months of pain. Three month of hurt. Three months of silence. Three months of annoyance. Three months of- Okay. To be honest, its a long list. Basically, three months of sadness.
Mi Ja ignored EVERY call. EVERY text. EVERYthing related to anything with Changmin, whether it be his favourite food, or someone with his hairstyle. She didn't want to do with anything that reminded her of Changmin. It caused her too much pain.
Nowadays, she's not as talkative. Not as interactive. Just a cold quiet girl, who people avoided no matter what. The problem was, they didn't know what happened to her, and were too scared to ask questions.
Changmin though, was sitting in his usual seat in the canteen. Glaring at KyoRei who smiled meekly at him. Disgusted, he turned his face and met eyes with Mi Ja. She saw, her eyes widened, while his eyes were pleading and said 'Take me back!'. Mi Ja rolled her eyes and walked away, into the distance. Changmin sighed and leaned back onto his chair. KyoRei smiled seeing this and ate her salad.
▬▬▬▬▬
It was Changmin and Mi Ja's 29th Monthiversary, but there wasn't one since they broke up. Sadly, Changmin walked into school. There he saw Mi Ja at her locker, taking things out. Changmin got an idea. He grabbed Mi Ja's wrist and started to drag her somewhere. “Yah! Shim Changmin, where the hell are you taking me?!” She asked, clearly pissed off. “I've been meaning to do something, but I never got a chance.
They entered the canteen, where most of the students were. Changmin coughed loudly, and addressed the whole student body. “Hello. I'm here today to tell you something very important. You see, Mi Ja and I are dating. -” Lots of gasps were heard. JaeJoong spat out his drink. Mi Ja's eyes widened and she tugged on his arm. He still continued. “You see, we recently broke up because of some problems, but I just want to day, in front of all these people,-” he turned to Mi Ja, “I still love you and always will. It wasn't my fault. I'm sorry that I made you keep this relationship a secret. Forgive me, and take me back?” He asked. The girls squealed, getting giddy. Mi Ja stared into his eyes for a good minute. “I dunno...” Changmin began to panic. “Of course pabo!” She smirked and gave him a hug.
Changmin sighed in releif. “Saranghae Mi Ja.” “Nado Saranghae oppa.” She answered back, then they looked at each other, giving each other a kiss. Causing DBSK – except Yunho – to be taken aback. JaeJoong even choked again!
